Goodwill is offering a special service in our community.

Goodwill operates as a convenient, no-cost, environmentally safe and one-stop location for the disposal of your used electronic goods that might be electronic waste. As you are aware, some landfills require you to pay a fee to dispose of these items.

Goodwill has recently been certified by the State of California to collect electronic waste from California residents.

Seven days a week, during our regular hours, all of our California retail stores and attended donation sites are accepting in any condition used TVs, laptop computers, all equipment connected to a computer (CPUs, monitors, keyboards, fax machines, scanners, modems, etc.), electronic game machines, stereos and cell phones. These items contain hazardous materials that require special care for disposal.

To satisfy California State requirements, we only need your name and address. Goodwill is reimbursed by the State from the fee collected at the time you originally purchased the item. You will not receive a bill from anyone, nor will you be contacted regarding your donation.

Goodwill gladly resells products that can be used by other people. Equipment not in working order will be recycled for reuse in other forms and/or assured safe disposal of potentially harmful components.

Working with Goodwill, you can save money and protect disposal sites from becoming filled too soon and becoming polluted. Electronic waste represents a large growing element in our nation's landfills. Let Goodwill help you, our community and our environment.
