RETAIL STORE VOLUNTEER The Retail Store Volunteer is responsible for assisting the Retail staff with store operations by providing customer service and sales floor recovery duties.
Volunteer Job Duties:
Assist customers in the selection of merchandise, providing information on availability and suggesting alternatives when desired item is not in stock.
Assist in merchandising the sales floor by hanging clothes, organizing merchandise and general retail floor recovery.
Assist in monitoring and recovery of fitting rooms.
Assist in demonstrating merchandise sold such as appliances, televisions and stereos.
Alert Retail staff of any dishonest practices of customers.
Volunteer Qualifications: 1. Must be able to work harmoniously with individuals with disabilities, special needs and other barriers to employment.
2. Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal direction.
3. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time.
4. High level of adaptability and flexibility.
5. Must be able to lift up to twenty pounds.
6. Good eye-hand coordination.
7. Must be able to commit to a regular schedule of number of hours per week/month.
Hours and Locations: Various locations throughout the Sacramento metropolitan area. Various hours available:
8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday
10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Sunday
