RETAIL PRODUCTION VOLUNTEER The Retail Production Volunteer is responsible for assisting the Retail Production staff with store operations by providing production duties.
Volunteer Job Duties:
Assist in processing of donated merchandise to include:
- hanging clothing as part of a textile processing team.
- presorting hardline donations, such as wares, shoes and books.
- cleaning wares for display on retail floor.
Assist in merchandising the sales floor by hanging clothes, cleaning and organizing shelves and stocking merchandise.
Assist in general maintenance functions, such as sweeping, damp mopping, stocking restrooms with supplies and checking for cleanliness.
Alert Retail staff of any dishonest practices of customers.
Volunteer Qualifications: 1. Must be able to work harmoniously with individuals with disabilities, special needs and other barriers to employment.
2. Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal direction.
3. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time.
4. High level of adaptability and flexibility.
5. Must be able to lift up to twenty pounds.
6. Good eye-hand coordination.
7. Must be able to commit to a regular schedule of number of hours per week/month.
Hours and Locations: Various locations throughout the Sacramento metropolitan area. Various hours available:
8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday
10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Sunday
