Thank you for your interest in partnering with Goodwill! We are proud to be a part of compassionate communities who care for one another and desire to give back. We make every effort to support the communities we serve through donated goods or store vouchers. However, due to the high volume of requests received every year, we are unable to support every worthy cause. All organizations submitting requests must meet the guidelines set forth by the Internal Revenue Service in compliance as a nonprofit 501(c)3 to be considered. In addition, organizations are limited to one request within a 12-month period.
Donation Request Guidelines
In order to maximize support to the community, we evaluate requests for donations considering the following three criteria: 1) Does the request align to Goodwill’s mission of helping people with disadvantages achieve self-sufficiency? 2) Will the request support a unique community need? 3) The organization must provide services within Sacramento, Yolo, El Dorado, Placer, Sutter, Yuba, Colusa, Nevada, Sierra, Butte, Glenn, Plumas, Tehama, Shasta, Lassen, or Modoc counties in California OR Washoe, Storey, Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, Mineral, Churchill, Pershing, Humboldt, Lander, Eureka, Elko, or White Pine counties in Nevada. Should your request be supported, organizations are expected to pick up approved items and report back on the outcome of the donation, including photos.
Updates regarding requests will be sent via email within ten days of submission.
